Abacare is a broad spectrum, long acting, low dosage rain resistant pour on used for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites in cattle. Abacare is an easy to use antiparasitic used for the treatment and control of roundworms, lungworms, sucking and biting lice. The active ingredient in Abacare is abamectin which is highly effective against internal and external parasites.

Treats and Controls: Roundworms, lungworms, sucking and biting lice

Administration Method: Pour-on

Withdrawal Time: 35 days for animals intended for meat and offal, not permitted for use on animals producing milk for human consumption.

Dosage: 1 ml per 20 kg of bodyweight

The Effects Of Parasites In Cattle

Lungworm

Symptoms:Short, sharp cough that becomes worse with exercise, in severe cases the animal will have obvious difficulty breathing.

Effects: Lungworm infections cause a high susceptibility to respiratory viruses and bacteria. Infected cattle are prone to contracting severe bronchial pneumonia which if left untreated can lead to death.

Roundworm

Symptoms:Lack of thrive, watery scour, loss of weight

Effects: Roundworms can puncture the blood vessels of a cow to feed on their blood. This can lead to anemia, poor growth, malnutrition and if left untreated can cause death.

Lice

Symptoms: Scratching, biting, greasy appearence, missing clumps of hair

Effects: Severe infections can cause pneumonia and anemia and can even lead to death.
